We did a lightweight product spotlight for Dermalogica’s Daily Microfoliant just last week, but, due to popular demand, we’ve decided to go a bit more in depth and answer a few more questions about one of our best selling products.
What are the benefits of Daily Microfoliant?
Dermalogica’s Daily Microfoliant is a gentle but thorough daily exfoliator. Here are a few of the benefits you will get from using the product on a regular basis:
- it removes surface debris from your skin, which would otherwise dull your complexion. Daily use of this microfoliant will leave your skin smoother and brighter.
- this product will help to even your skin tone and combat the effects of hyperpigmentation.
- the Daily Microfoliant (like all Dermalogica products), focuses on skin health rather than simply how beautiful it looks. This means it will promote your overall skin health (which will, for example, keep you looking younger longer), as well as helping you get that post-exfoliation skin glow.
Is Daily Microfoliant good for acne?
This product can be good for acne, but it should be used cautiously. Acne-prone skin needs really gentle treatment so, if you love to exfoliate but want to avoid a heavy-duty exfoliant, Dermalogica’s Daily Microfoliant might be a good option. However, everyone’s skin is different and some people may find this product doesn’t help with their outbreaks.
Having said that, this product is really good for clearing up acne scars once the likelihood of a breakout has diminished. For more information about acne and Dermalogica, check out this section of the official site.
Is Daily Microfoliant good for dry skin?
Daily Microfoliant will help balance all skin types, but might not be the right product if you’re suffering from a breakout of very dry skin. However, if you’re using a Dermalogica moisturiser alongside Daily Microfoliant, you may well find that this combination solves all your dry skin worries! Have a look here and here for some further independent views.
Is Daily Microfoliant good for sensitive skin?
Daily Microfoliant is great for sensitive skin as long as you’re using it alongside other high quality (preferably Dermalogica) products. For example, you will always need to moisturise thoroughly after using an exfoliant like this. This exfoliant is designed to be used daily, but you can always reduce the number of times you use it per week if you feel at risk of inflaming any issues related your sensitive skin.
What are the active ingredients in Dermalogica’s Daily Microfoliant
The key ingredients in Daily Microfoliant are: Oryza Sativa (Rice) Bran and Rice Extract (used for microfoliation), Papain and Salicylic Acid (for removing dead surface skin cells), and Glycyrrhizate Glabra (Licorice), Oryza Sativa (Rice) and Citrus Grandis (for brightening and evening skin tone).
